Religious Observance and Holidays Commitment

Students are permitted to be absent from OSAP activities, teaching, and tours etc. to observe a religious holiday. This policy reflects the organisation’s commitment to being responsive to our increasing diversity and to enabling students’ spiritual development.

Students are expected to make prior arrangements with their instructor to make up any work missed. If an instructor is unable or unwilling to grant the request, the student should consult with an Academic Advisor or the Academic Director.

Students should be mindful of religious observation commitments well in advance of the beginning of their program and discuss this during the Academic Advising session during orientation. Teaching staff will have varying time commitments and therefore students are responsible for communicating intended absences for religious observance during their first introductory meeting with their tutor.

"The academic program was incredibly beneficial. I got a lot out of the one-on-one tutorials."

"OSAP is the best academic study abroad program in Oxford."
